To put the evening in more perspective, Schumer was presented the Charlie Chaplin Britannia Award for Excellence in Comedy—an honor she accepted after admitting, “I'm a little drunk.” Schumer continued, “I'm a huge Chaplin fan. I am connected to him because he wrote most of his work and people also referred to him as a little tramp, too.” “I'll never forget the first time I saw him just running around that chocolate factory,” the comedian joked. “When he got that golden ticket, whose heart didn't jump out of their chest?
