Stephen Frears’ film about the notoriously appalling New York singer Florence Foster Jenkins in the 1940s stars Meryl Streep in the title role with Hugh Grant as her devoted husband, St Clair Bayfield. In this clip, Streep concludes a lesson with David Haig’s supremo, to the horror of her newly-appointed piano accompanist, Cosme McMoon (Simon Helberg). The film opens in the UK on 6 May and in the US on 12 August.
